The best ice creams in Italy: here are the 8 tastes arrived in the final!


These are the winners decreed by the jury of the first semifinal Italian of Gelato Festival World Masters after 2 days of competition on the campus of Carpigiani Gelato University in Anzola Emilia (BO) which was attended by 86 ice cream makers selected in 14 months of competitions along the boot, 36 events and a total of 751 participants.
Here are the 8 ice cream flavors to taste next spring-summer.

"Green joy"

Few people know that pumpkin seeds are also called "Pistachio" from Styria (Austria). This unusual ingredient creates a creamy ice cream in pumpkin seed oil with crunchy pumpkin seeds and variegated pumpkin seed oil.

"To the seventh frost"

Taste that originates from a recipe for a rice cake from 1470 called "Torta de gli addobbi" which was then taken up by Artusi in 1891. In its transformation into ice cream it has been revisited maintaining a rich taste of rice, milk, almonds and candied citron.

"Almond"

Mango sorbet variety Alfonso infused with jasmine green tea with dehydrated coconut, ginger, vanilla and a touch of basil.

"Asprobronte"

Of the L’Arte del Dolce gelato shop in Vittuone (MI). The classic Bronte pistachio is enriched by the fresh and slightly acid note of finger lime. Complete the garnish with a delicious pistachio amaretto made by the gelato maker himself

"Mirage"

By Francesco Sottilaro of the Gelato Boccaccio of Villa San Giovanni (RC). An intense almond ice cream with a delicate infusion of bergamot and extra virgin olive oil from the Piana di Gioia Tauro.

"Nocciolfresh"

By Riccardo Caruso from the PanDolce di S.Stefano Briga (ME) pastry and ice cream bakery. A hazelnut ice cream with the fresh addition of mint and inclusion of praline hazelnuts.

Alessandro, Gilberto, Gloria and Valeria remained to challenge each other for the Masterchef title. Who do you cheer for?

After the gossip unleashed by the photo portraying the judge-chef Locatelli at lunch with the competitor Gilberto, MasterChef returns, which among the competitors remaining in the race, in addition to the aforementioned Gilberto, presents Alessandro, Gloria, Valeria. In short, they are the four finalists who will compete for the title of eighth Italian MasterChef. So to see how it turns out, don't miss the latest episode of the culinary talent show on the air Thursday 4 April starting at 9.15 pm on Sky Uno.

The super guest of the last episode

Any anticipation of what we will see? Meanwhile there will be a super guest: the chef Heinz Beck of the La Pergola restaurant in Rome, three Michelin stars, will test the competitors in theInvention Test.
As always, then, like the real chefs, the finalists will have to prepare a full tasting menu – entrée, appetizer, first course, second course and dessert – able to conquer the palate of the four judges Bruno Barbieri, Joe Bastianich, Antonino Cannavacciuolo and Giorgio Locatelli. Between the stoves they will have to show their growth compared to entering the Masterclass, but also to tell their stories, creating ideas bring that they talk about themselves and their past and that they preserve in them all the desire to triumph in the kitchen of MasterChef Italia.

At the end of the two days of Happy Christmas, what better way to say hello if you do not toast with champagne Veuve Clicquot? At 18, at the spaces of The School of Italian Cuisine (via San Nicolao 7, Milan – Piazzale Cadorna area), a Christmas aperitif will be held in the company of the Grande Dame Caterina Ceraudo and his show cooking. The chef of the Dattilo restaurant in Strongoli, a Michelin star, will delight us with Pumpkin cappuccino, porcini mushrooms and cocoa is Panettone and cod salad.
As always there will be the wonderful cutting boards of Fratelli Beretta to make the aperitif even more appetizing!
