In Milan the challenge for the longest tiramisu in the world – Italian Cuisine

In Milan the challenge for the longest tiramisu in the world

Coffee, biscuits and mascarpone cream. And here comes the Tiramisu, the most famous dessert in Italy, that much loved even outside our borders. As with almost all classic recipes, this also lends itself to innumerable variations. Some add the cream, those who prefer the Pavesini to the ladyfingers (and here the purists turn up their noses) and those who venture more creative versions. But it is tradition that always has the best with the original recipe.

In the meantime, in Milan, Galbani Saint Lucia challenges the Guinness World Records® with the Tiramisu the longest in the world together with the pastry chefs of the Teatro7 Cucina Lab and in collaboration with AADV Entertainment. The goal is to beat the current record of 266.9 meters. The mascarpone company will take place at the CityLife Shopping District of the Lombard capital, starting at 14.00 Saturday, March 16th.

It promises to be a spectacular event, the public will be able to attend the setting of the record-breaking Tiramisu, with the entertainment de La Pina, Diego and La Vale, unmistakable voices of Radio Deejay. Obviously, after having measured the record, at the end of the test it will be possible to taste a slice of the sweet symbol of Italian confectionery, following all the details on social networks with the official hashtag # TiramisùDaRecord.

There will not only be pure entertainment, but also solidarity. The tiramisu not consumed at the moment, will be packaged and distributed in the various Milanese cafeterias that support the most needy, thanks to the precious collaboration of Last Minute Market, which since 1998 supports companies and institutions in the recovery of food and its reuse for social purposes and that will make the event Zero Waste. Furthermore, Galbani in collaboration with the Food Bank, will donate all the ingredients for the creation of another 15,000 portions (equal to those estimated for the creation of the record Tiramisu) in the canteens of Lombardy, Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, thus symbolically sharing this special goal with the community and dedicating a moment of sweetness to those in difficulty.

"We decided to organize a great event for Milan with the most loved Italian dessert – tiramisu – he has declared Mauro Frantellizzi, Director of Marketing Galbani – launching the challenge at the Guinness World Record. A party that is also a solidarity event that, thanks to collaborations with Banco Alimentare and Last Minute Market, wants to bring a message of trust towards the next".
