Plum and frangipane tartlets, cuddle in summer – Italian Cuisine


Every day in editorial board something special happens. Yesterday, for example, ours Joelle Néderlants has given us a special recipe, simple (for ingredients and preparation), but with his sweet and delicate taste it is a real treat to enjoy on summer days, when we need real and genuine things. A soft fragrant cream of frangipane fills one crunchy pastry, while the prunes they give us the right bit of juiciness. Final touch, the magic of the icing sugar.

The recipe for tarts with plums and frangipani

Ingredients for 4 single portion tartlets

250 g of short pastry
200 g of frangipane cream (1 egg, 50 g of almond flour, 50 g of sugar, 50 g of softened butter)
prunes
icing sugar

Method

Line the molds for the tartlets with the shortcrust pastry and cook in white for 10/15 minutes at 180 ° degrees.
Pour the frangipani, which you have prepared by mixing together the egg, almond flour, sugar and butter, and bake for another 15 minutes.
Add the prunes cut in half and remove the stone and bake for another 6/7 minutes.
Before serving, sprinkle with icing sugar.

Plum cake recipe with carrots, apples and coconut


  • 110 g flour
  • 80 g carrot
  • 80 g seed oil plus a little
  • 75 g apple
  • 75 g sugar
  • 20 g grated coconut plus a little
  • 6 g baking powder for cakes
  • an egg
  • vanilla
  • lemon
  • honey

For the recipe for plum cake with carrots, apples and coconut, peel the carrot and apple and whisk them coarsely in the mixer. Mix them with flour, sugar, grated coconut, baking powder, the seeds of a vanilla pod, the grated rind of half a lemon, the egg and the oil.
Oil a half-liter plum cake mold and pour the mixture, filling it no more than three-quarters of the way. Bake at 175 ° C for about 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let the plum cake cool, then remove it from the mold and polish it with a little honey melted in a saucepan. Sprinkle with more grated coconut and serve with a cup of tea.

Plum cake recipe with strawberry grapes – Italian Cuisine


  • 240 g flour 00
  • 240 g sugar
  • 220 g strawberry grape sauce
  • 4 eggs
  • 110 g peanut oil
  • 10 g baking powder for desserts

For the recipe of strawberry plum cake, blend the eggs with the grape sauce with the immersion mixer; add also the oil, pouring it in line as you do for mayonnaise, always blending. Sift the flour with baking powder and sugar.
Add the flour to the egg mixture, stirring very gently and as little as possible so as not to disassemble it. Pour the mixture into 2 molds of silicone with a bullous shape. As an alternative, two 20 cm long plum cake molds, buttered and floured, will be equally good.
Bake at 170 ° C for 45 minutes in ventilated mode. Remove the plum cake from the oven, let it cool, then remove from the mold and let it cool completely. Before serving, decorate it to taste with icing sugar, grape berries, lime peel and drops of grape jelly.
