The Wired Next Fest, the largest free participation event in Italy dedicated to innovation, change skin, turning into an online and on-site festival lasting 4 months, from June 4th to October 11th.

This year the Wired Next Fest will consist of six digital events, from June 4th to September 30th, live streaming from a shooting studio, where guests will alternate in the studio and in connection, and a final event, at IBM Studios in Piazza Gae Aulenti, on 10 and 11 October.

Six web events – each developed around a key theme – to analyze, compare, share experiences, tools and solutions from which the country can start. AI, Big Data, mobility, Digital Health, Sustainability, Education, Open Innovation these are just some of the topics that will be covered on each occasion. Vertical sessions that will have a dual nature: popularizing and professionalising.

The Wired Next Fest opens its digital programming with the third edition of Wired Health, which will be held on June 4th and 5th. The two days, in addition to focusing on the current global health emergency linked to the pandemic of Covid-19, will aim to tell the most recent and relevant innovations and trends in digital healthcare, and the opportunities that lie at the intersection of medicine, technology and new lifestyles. An initiative aimed at managers, public administrators, scientists and researchers, professionals, policy makers and end users who aspire to be updated on how and how much digital is transforming the health sector, from its business models to new research and products, therefore to the choices of patients, managers, doctors, citizens. The appointment of Wired Health is made possible thanks to the support of some partners. Wired Next Fest 2020 will be a 4 month course that will end on 10 and 11 October with a big final event, open to all citizens, in Piazza Gae Aulenti, near the IBM Studios, in the most futuristic, innovative and at the same time contemporary district of Milan. Two days to celebrate and develop together with entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, economists, politicians, creatives, philosophers, national and international, the flow of knowledge, awareness and opportunity generated by the exceptional experience that Italy has lived and is living. A demonstration for everyone, which responds toneed to leave and create an informed and participatory public opinion of the great social, economic and cultural changes taking place.

All the appointments will be transmitted and disseminated on the social channels of Wired Italia (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and on Next.Wired.it, the Wired portal dedicated to its events. Next.Wired.it is a video based site that focuses on the protagonists of the change and the story of their idea of ​​the future and innovation, as well as all the service info and content of the partners. A portal developed with the aim of extending the visibility and duration of the Wired Next Fest throughout the year, making the event a real media platform.

In its tenth edition, held in May 2019 and dedicated to the theme "Future", the festival had exceeded 150 thousand admissions and achieved a great result also on digital platforms: 1.6 million users had followed the festival on Wired.it and on the Facebook page of Wired Italia. On Twitter, the interactions linked to the official hashtag # WNF19 had made it Trending Topic. 200 thousand users connected every day also on Saturday and Sunday – a record figure compared to previous editions – with over 500 thousand pages per day.

Asparagus: the idea for a vegetarian ragout – Italian Cuisine

How to choose asparagus

Whether they are wild or cultivated, the way to choose good asparagus is to control it the ends: the tips must be of an intense color, to hold, with the leaves well closed and the tip straight. THE stems instead they must be firm, without stains and the stem must be straight, not crushed. In addition to this, it must break cleanly, and don't bend: in this case he would have lost water and therefore it would not be cooler.

How to store asparagus

To always have them fresh, as if they were just purchased, it is essential to keep them in the freezer. But how? First you need to clean them and cut off the hardest part of the stem. After that dip them in boiling water, whole or in pieces, as you prefer, for 3-4 minutes. drain, put them in a bowl with ice water and when they are cold, dry them one by one with a paper towel. Then distribute them in the special bags well closed e put them in the freezer. This way you will have them fresh whenever you feel like it. To cook them, you just have to add them still frozen and cook them together with the other ingredients.

The recipe for the asparagus ragout

Ingredients

500 g green asparagus, 2 celery stalks, 1 carrot, 1 small onion, 3 tablespoons of tomato paste, 10 g dried mushrooms, 2 bay leaves, 2 clove, grated zest of one lemon, extra virgin olive oil, salt.

Method

Soak the mushrooms in a bowl with cold water. Clean the asparagus, removing the final part of the stems, the more leathery one. Steam them for 3 minutes and once ready, cut the stem into rings and set aside the tips. Coarsely chop the onion, carrot and celery and cook them in a pan with the extra virgin olive oil, bay leaf and cloves. Then add the tomato paste lengthened with water and the drained and coarsely chopped mushrooms. Cook everything for about ten minutes, then remove the bay leaf and cloves, add the asparagus and lemon zest. Salt and cook for another 5 minutes. At the end add the asparagus tips and mix well. Your ragù is ready.

Carrot cake: the recipe

Ingredients for the cake

400 g clean new carrots

150 g brown sugar

125 g 00 flour

100 g almond flour

1 teaspoon of yeast

1 teaspoon of baking soda

125 ml sunflower oil

70 g yogurt

2 eggs

Ingredients for the topping

250 g Greek yogurt

50 g cream

50 g icing sugar

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a 22 cm diameter baking tray with parchment paper. Finely blend the carrots in the mixer, pour them into a large bowl, add the flour, baking powder, baking soda, oil, sugar, eggs, yogurt and mix very well, until the mixture is creamy and homogeneous.

Pour the mixture into the pan and cook for about 45/50 minutes, then leave to cool. To prepare the cream, whip the cream with the sugar and gently add the yogurt.

When the cake has cooled, cover it with cream.
