Among the contents of the 2021 budget law, which is currently being approved in Parliament, there is also the bonus chef, a support for professional chefs. Here's how it works
The Chamber approved on December 27 the budget law 2021, a maneuver that contains a new package of tax bonuses and discounts in various activities and sectors and activities, including catering, for the recovery of the economy brought to its knees by the emergency Coronavirus. The maneuver will now go to the Senate which should give the green light by 30 December.
Drinking water bonus, mobile bonuses, South bonuses, aid to small and medium-sized enterprises, tourism support are just some of the contents of the budget law which also sees the introduction, for the first time, of the bonus chef, aimed at facilitating professional cooks.
Bonus chef: how it works
What is it about? From 1 January to 30 June 2021, the professional chefs of hotels and restaurants, who are workers employees or self-employed with VAT number, will be able to buy professional tools and equipment or high energy class machinery for the conservation, processing, transformation and cooking of food products or, again, participate in professional refresher courses, all benefiting from a tax credit up to 40% on expenses incurred. The bonus has a maximum ceiling of 6 thousand euros and can only be used in compensation.
