The third edition of Milan Wine Week starts from 3 to 11 October, with many experiences to be enjoyed in total safety (from this year, even digitally from all over the world). Here is a selection of some of the best events on the calendar

Milan becomes the international capital of wine with 7 networked cities and simultaneous global events. This year Milan Wine Week expands physical events and makes them usable both live and digitally, through the platform Digital Wine Fair, thanks to which professionals and international buyers will be able to connect live from all over the world to participate in the various initiatives.

Easter Wines

Tuesday 6 October, at 11.30 the masterclass will be held at Palazzo Bovara "Cecilia Beretta, the feminine gaze on Valpolicella". The line of wines from Valpolicella branded Easter Wines, which sees an all-female team at work supervised by a prominent figure in the Italian viticulture scene such as Graziana Grassini, will present on site and in streaming some iconic labels protagonists of a "restyling" curated by the winemaker student of Giacomo Tachis.

To guide the tasting the same Graziana Grassini, assisted by Carlo Olivari, Easter Wines winemaker. The masterclass will also be an opportunity to illustrate the project developed by the winery which, inspired by the iconic figure of Cecilia Beretta, wanted to pay homage to 33 women who have changed the rules of the game in the world of innovation. An initiative carried out both on a graphic level, through the labels designed by the eclectic illustrator Clorophilia, and on the pages of the Wired magazine, where their knowledge and female empowerment are promoted.

Wednesday 7 October also at Palazzo Bovara, in the Sala Castiglioni at 16.00-17.15, Easter Vini turns its gaze abroad, with the masterclass in English "Challenging the wines of Valpolicella – an international approach to tasting Italian wines”: The speaker Alessandro Torcoli, director of the magazine Civiltà del Bere, will make a journey to discover the different personalities of native and international grape varieties in an increasingly globalized world. Also for this appointment, the possibility to participate both in person and online through the digital platform of Milan Wine Week.

Thursday 8th October Pasqua Vini will be the protagonist of an event widespread in Milan and its province, which will involve six restaurants (A ’Riccione, The Brisket, Drogheria Milanese, Antica Osteria Magenes, Osteria Dal Verme, Bottega Valtellina 18) served by Pasqua Vini. The chefs will propose a special combination by creating a dish to perfectly accompany a glass of some of the labels of the Veronese winery.

Consortium for the protection of Asti and Moscato d'Asti Docg

Virtual meetings, but also garrison of the city, thanks to the presence of the Consortium in Wine District of the Arco della Pace – Sempione area with the involvement of wine bars linked to the culture of good drinking and historical places for the iconic Milanese aperitif.

In the center, in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, the Consortium will be among the protagonists of the exhibition The Winers, set up in the days of the festival.

The October 10 it is then the turn of Walk around tasting, an initiative that will animate the spaces of the very central Babila Building, in Corso Venezia overlooking Piazza San Babila. From 15 to 19 there will be tasting meetings of the wines produced by the companies that are part of the Consortium for the protection of Asti and Moscato d'Asti Docg and moments of entertainment with the live cooking of the histrionic chef Alessandro Borghese, ambassador of the Consortium in a communication campaign that enhances the territory and its wine excellences.

Montelvini

The first appointment with the Venetian winery will be held Tuesday 6 October, at 2.00 pm, with "The symphony of wine: homage to Ennio Morricone", A wine and music tasting in the Castiglioni Room of Palazzo Bovara led by the sound sommelier Paolo Scarpellini and the CEO of the winery, Alberto Serena. It is a tribute to the late Maestro Morricone who will revolve around a unique combination of three wines and as many musical pieces. Among these, there will be the famous soundtrack of "The good, the ugly, the bad" by the Roman composer in a perfect match with "Il Brutto", the Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG Sui Lieviti signed by Montelvini.

On the same day of Tuesday 6 October Montelvini will be in connection with New York (7.00 pm Italian time) for the international digital tasting entitled "Asolo calling". The masterclass, in English, will be the opportunity for the company to present the top-of-the-range wines from the Serenitatis Collection to the US market: Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG in the Extra Brut, Brut and Extra Dry versions.
Participants will be located partly in the headquarters of Palazzo Bovara, in Corso Venezia, and partly in a New York location and everyone will be able to taste Montelvini wines at the same time, led by Gianni Zucchetto and Davide Zanette, both export area managers of the company.

Following, Wednesday 7 October a circuit of 6 premises based in the Milan area will be activated, including [Bu:r] of the chef Eugenio Boer, the cocktail bar restaurant Alchemy and the wine shop The Blind, which will offer various tasting and wine pairing activities with Montelvini products.
