Horoscope in the kitchen: the signs of Air

We asked the astrologer to indicate the ideal recipes for the zodiac signs following the 4 elements. Today we are in the air with Gemini, Libra and Aquarius

Here we are talking again about the elements in astrology. As I have already told, classical Western astrology divides the twelve zodiac signs also on the basis of the element they belong to. Each of the 4 elements, Fire, Earth, Air and Water, collects in itself 3 zodiac signs which have in common some characteristics, some basic values. Then, each of the three zodiac signs will decline these characteristics differently depending on the planets that define their personality.

Today I speak to you of the three signs of the third element, Air, which are Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. Air is a symbol of sociality, sharing, and these are the signs that most of all make the group, the other, an important element of their life. The air is ethereal therefore creative, mental and communication is essential here. For this reason, even when it comes to cooking, the signs of Air have at heart the values linked to conviviality and sharing around the table. Food for air signs is not only a source of nourishment but also of relationships: every friendship, love and business is born around a banquet. Air signs prefer i creative foods, not necessarily elaborate and often light but colorful, also lively in appearance.

In 2022 it will be precisely the signs of air to have Saturn in favor given that it will pass through Aquarius: this planet will make them determined and determined to take on new and healthy habits, including food, without losing the pleasure of sharing and taste.

Let's see how each of the three air signs develops these characteristics of the element in the kitchen: it's up to you, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius!

The air marks in the kitchen

Twins

Geminis hardly like to spend a lot of time behind the stove because they prefer to set a table with many appetizers, cold dishes, finger food of all kinds and origins and then enjoy long dinners full of chat with many friends. Here the food is colorful, fresh, fun to enjoy. Also because, as a good sign of Air, Gemini are also very active physically and do not like to stay with their legs under the table for longer than necessary. Indeed, the label is shunned as well as situations that are too formal. Green light therefore to all creative combinations, also visually, of pinzimonio with colorful and fresh sauces but also a citron tartare and scampi, to the home made sushi and at breaded vegetable croquettes of all kinds and combinations. Here a contrasting flavor like that of an aromatic herb is always appreciated to break up any monotony that tries to arrive: try with coriander!

Balance

Libra is the sign of the measure par excellence, here everything that is good must also be beautiful and for this reason the eye has at least a 50% say in deciding how much a food is appreciated. Libra is the sign of etiquette and aesthetics par excellence, your dinners will always be perfect first of all from a stylistic point of view. For Libra, the other also comes before the self, so the desire to share, especially with two, is very strong. The perfect dishes for Libra are traditional but not particularly elaborate: the balance between simplicity and care, between taste and lightness is always appreciated. I think of a plate of pumpkin tortelloni or to the traditional ones tortellini in broth, but also at salty vegetable quiche and the traditional ones Sunday appetizers on the grandmothers table.

Aquarius is it experimentalist of the zodiac and, here too, as with all the signs of Air, food is often used as a glue for convivial and fun evenings. Indeed, let's say that the Aquarium is the king of the aperitif, wherever it is. All the strangest combination experiments attract the culinary curiosity of this zodiac sign including the new cooking techniques such as vacuum, air or magnetic induction. It will be the abstruse combinations, however, most of all to attract him because if there is one thing that Aquarius shuns, it is tradition that is always the same as itself. He wants to throw himself into new combinations: from dough with yogurt to the risotto with seafood and raspberries until'salad with pineapple and Spritz ice cream. Everything he does not know immediately makes his mouth water.

How to use the kitchen hood as an air purifier – Italian Cuisine

Not only near the stove: the new extractors help us to breathe better between the walls of the whole house. Accompanying futuristic technologies and design. An expert reveals the things to do (and those to avoid) to make the best use of them

Hotels and tourist facilities now put it as a plus, such as room service or the concierge: let's talk about air purifiers. Fight thepollution within the walls of the house seems to be a healthy trend starting from the kitchen. In fact, many do not know that it is among the most polluted rooms in the house. Ironically, it is also one of the most used. To lighten the atmosphere there is a solution and it's called cooker hood. Many use them only to eliminate annoying odors, perhaps after preparation has already been carried out (after a fry or when we inadvertently burned something). Yet the latest generation models go much further. We talked about it with Serena Sorana, Brand and Communication manager of Faber, a company based in Fabriano in the Marche region (part of the Franke group since 2005), creator in 1955 of the first kitchen hood.

Serena Sorana

"In this historical period we spend a lot of time at home," he begins Serena Sorana "For this reason, maintaining an environment as clean as possible, in terms of air quality, is something that is increasingly being sought, also because 1 in 5 Italians has allergy or asthma problems. There are many "invisible" pitfalls: 70% of people, for example, find they have mold in their crates and do not imagine that a few gestures are enough to improve the situation ".

Which ones are they?
«In the meantime, ventilate by simply opening the windows and turning on the hood at least 5 minutes before cooking, and not after. In reality many use the hood only for light and to eliminate odors they open the window: unfortunately there is little awareness of the great usefulness of a good hood, but also on other aspects that influence the quality of the air we breathe within the walls home".

Because?
"The most common detergents used to clean the surfaces of the stove area, for example, in contact with the flame or the heat of the plates, make volatile harmful substances for our body, which we inadvertently inhale".

How to orient oneself in choosing a hood?
«There are filtering and aspiring ones. The aspirating ones are those connected to an air tube that discharges to the outside, usually equipped with filters that must be washed frequently. The filters are those hoods that in addition to having an anti-grease filter, also have a carbon filter: in this case the air is cleaned and is returned to the interior of the apartment. Usually every tot must be changed, depending on the type .

Other precautions?
«Maintenance is also important: the hood filters return to new simply by washing them. Faber has also promoted on several occasions promotional activities for a free check up of the hood, which have always been highly appreciated by consumers. Today we guide people online through an active blog on our site that I recommend to everyone. In addition, we purchase a kit to keep them clean ".

What functions do the latest generation hoods have?
"A great many: in the meantime they are eco-sustainable, low consumption and offer performances worthy of an air purifier. At the end of the year we will put on the market a product, presented as a prototype during the Salone del Mobile in Milan two years ago called K-Air. It has a flat shape like that of a monitor or a TV and is distinguished by the presence of sensors that allow you to monitor pollution inside the whole house. We have used to make it a technology designed for space stations, modulating it on domestic needs and scaling it in size to make it suitable for our kitchens. Report the quality of the air with graphics and colors, then purify the environment automatically. You can use it in connection with the hob or program it remotely from your mobile phone, through an app. In the future I foresee more and more going towards low energy lines and towards hobs with integrated extraction, such as our Galileo, equipped with interesting solutions such as waterproof technology that guarantees operation and safety even in the event of spills. liquids on the hob, which do not interfere with cooking and are collected in a compartment. Increasing attention will also be paid to the materials – the Fenix Ó for example, which we use for the Soft Line range is anti-fingerprint and cleanable in a moment – and to the noise level which today is reduced by more than 60% compared to traditional hoods .

What sizes can be purified by using the hood?
"Theoretically surfaces of all sizes: as long as the hood is proportionate to the size of the home environment and the more or less frequent use of the kitchen".

In Milan the mural that purifies the air – Italian Cuisine

In Milan the mural that purifies the air

The anti-smog mural by street artist Iena Cruz arrived in Milan to clean up the air and raise awareness of environmental emergencies that threaten our planet

Is called Anthropoceano and will help purify the air of Milan. The anti-smog mural of the street artist Iena Cruz, realized in collaboration with Worldrise Onlus and financed by Ocean Family Foundation and North Sail, extends on the facade of a building in via Viotti, near the station of Lambrate.

How does it work? The work is made with a special paint called Airlite, which through the action of light is able to reduce pollution in the air, eliminating up to 88% of nitrogen oxides, benzene and formaldehyde.

Anthropoceano represents an oil platform that looks like a plastic bottle, inside which some sea creatures, such as a shark and a whale, are trapped. Its purpose is twofold: while it acts as a natural purifier, the mural also aims to raise awareness about the impact of plastic on the seas, starting from its origin up to the consequences it has on nature and animals.
