The new thematic district dedicated to food and design is born, in the Milan area of Via Paolo Sarpi.
From April 9 to 14 Milan returns to host the Salone del Mobile and together the appointment with Milan Design Week is renewed, a stage that has always been a must for those who love design and furniture.
But it is the food that continues to be a source of inspiration for many scheduled appointments and being naturally attracted to the subject we could only write down everything on the agenda.
Here are our tips for living a Design Week in the name of the gastronomic experience.
The village of food design
In this area Paolo Sarpi was born with this edition on district dedicated to food. The will then be inaugurated Dfood thematic district. A multisensory exploration that will embrace themes from nutritional value to functional packaging, from the consumer environment to distribution. Expected over 15 events involving more than 20 brands. Ravioleria Sarpi, Fabbrica del Vapore, PRESSO, Pasticceria Martesana, Santo Taco and a series of private houses are the locations for food-related events.
Pizza & Cocktail by Dry Milan at the Mysterious Baths
The Franco Parenti Theater and its surroundings become the beating heart of the new Parenti District Art Design, that will make an entire neighborhood live in the spirit of synergy between art and design. Opening the special Fuorisalone week will be the extraordinary opening of the Mysterious Baths scheduled for next Monday, April 8th, starting at 7.30pm and until midnight: a spectacular party, with figures and actors, and a performance by the director Fabio Cheristich on the galloping platform in the pool all accompanied by le pizzas and the buns of the Dry Milan and from the "signature cocktails" of the bar manager Federico Volpe.
No place like home
Fabulous food. Or a fairy tale that turns into food? The menu created by chef Marco Ambrosino and designer Odo Fioravanti is not a menu, it is a game, surreal, unusual, engaging: design and gastronomy together for a new version of the Wizard of Oz; dishes-recipes in which the dishes tell the recipes and the recipes support the dishes, an "acid" journey, as the two creatives call it, like Dorothy's, who eventually, after so many upheavals, brings you home. As only the 28Posti restaurant is capable of doing.
The surprises in the Darsena
Don't miss a ride in the Darsena. Meanwhile for the hilarious Deliveroo's Food Freedom Boat which will give you the chance to navigate the Naviglio Grande: cruise more poke and you will feel like you're on vacation!

Punk harvest
Also and / n – the trendy natural wine shop that overlooks Sant’Eustorgio, will entertain us for this design week showing us a new face of the vintage: a photographic exhibition that tells the stories of the most punk winemakers in the world, nomads who make the vineyard their home.
The bread district: the Fuorisalone of EustachiOra
April 11 from 6.30pm don't miss the appointment at the Consorzio Stoppani restaurant, in the street of the same name.
