Method

Add the manitoba flour, sugar, an egg, butter, water and brewer's yeast to the kneader. Season with salt, you will need about a teaspoon. Start the kneader, you will need to obtain a soft and smooth mixture. You can also work it by hand if you prefer!

Transfer it to a bowl that you have previously greased with extra virgin olive oil. Cover the dough with a cloth and let rise for a couple of hours. Once passed put it on a cutting board and divide it into 8 parts, thus forming the paninetti, which you will then put on a baking sheet, which is also oiled. Let the covered sandwiches rise for another hour or so.

Then heat the oven to 200 ° C. Meanwhile, brush the sandwiches with the beaten egg and decorate with sesame seeds (or poppy). Bake the rolls in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, checking them from time to time. Place them in the central part of the oven, so that the sesame seeds are not burnt due to too much heat.
