They can eat it even children during the weaning phase because it strengthens the bones, increases the immune system and regulates intestinal transit because it is rich in lactic ferments.

With yogurt they can be prepared smoothies and cakes, but also many savory and ethnic and many savory dishes sauces for vegetables and salads.

You only need 1 liter of fresh whole milk and a 125 g jar of whole yogurt or alternatively freeze-dried lactic ferments. Put the milk in a non-stick saucepan and heat it, making sure that the temperature does not exceed 40 ° C. Use a kitchen thermometer. The ideal temperature is around 37-38 ° C.
Remove the patina that has formed from the surface of the milk and prepare 7 jars or a large glass container and put in each jar a spoonful of natural yogurt at room temperature. Then add a few tablespoons of the boiled milk and mix everything before adding the remaining milk, filling all the jars.
Seal the jars with plastic wrap and wrap them in a fleece blanket for 8 hours in a place away from drafts and sufficiently warm (the oven turned off). When the yogurt is ready, put it in the refrigerator and wait between 12 and 24 hours to consume it.
This homemade yogurt expires after about a week.
If you use UHT milk instead of fresh milk, it is not necessary to boil it because it is already deprived of bacteria.
If you want to add fresh fruit, be careful because being very acidic it can hinder the fermentation process. Cook it first or use a compote or jam.
