Never take for granted the recipes considered more banal: the lemon chicken breast is one of them. Because? Because it is based on ingredients that we all have in the fridge or freezer and because chicken meat is very versatile, and can become tasty if cooked in the right way.

How to make lemon chicken breast: the easiest recipe

Ingrediants

600 g of chicken breast
1 lemon (zest + juice)
200 g of water
10 g of sugar
10 g of soy sauce
20 g of cornstarch
salt up to taste
extra virgin olive oil to taste
00 flour to taste
oregano to taste

Method

Take the lemon, grate the zest and squeeze the juice, filtering it.
Now, take the chicken breast, remove the fat, cut it into strips and then a chunks. Sauté the chicken nuts in the Flour, in the meantime, heat extra virgin olive oil in a pan.
Now place the floured cubes and brown them well, gilding the surface. Turn off the heat and prepare the sauce.

Take a bowl, pour in the cornstarch, water, sugar, soy sauce and lemon juice. Remove the chicken from the pan and place it in a separate bowl. In that same bowl pour the mixture and over low heat, let it set, stirring with a whisk.

United i chicken nuggets golden brown, making them brown for a few minutes. Serve, sprinkling with grated lemon zest and oregano.

1) Wash And dry delicately the berries; shell the currants. Pour the wine in a saucepan with honey, a pinch of salt, a grind of clove pepper and bay leaves. Bring to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes. As the wine dwindles, engrave the skin of the duck breasts with a sharp knife, forming a diamond-shaped grid, without cutting the meat.

2) Reheat a non-stick pan and, when hot, recline skin side duck breasts and cook over high heat for 1 minute, reduce the flame slightly and continue cooking for 5-7 minutes, depending on whether you prefer a more or less rare cooking. Turn duck breasts and cook 3-4 minutes on the other side.

3) While the duck breasts are cooking, taken 2 tablespoons of the wine reduction and let them cool. Dissolve corn starch e put back all in the saucepan, mixing the sauce with a whisk to avoid the formation of lumps and bringing it back to a light boil. United the berries, let it simmer for a couple of minutes and remove from the heat.

4) Remove duck breasts from the pan, salt them, pepper them, wrap them in aluminum foil and let them rest for 4-5 minutes. Extract them from aluminum, cut them into thick slices and serve them on plates, coated with the sauce and berries.

The data of the roast chicken
On the occasion of Roast Chicken Day, this is confirmed by aDoxa investigation: chicken meat is the most consumed by Italians. Do you think that 72% of Italians eat it at least once a week! What about the roast chicken? Again the data are surprising: about 40 million Italians eat roast chicken once a month and 41% of people aged between 18 and 24 consume roast chicken at least once a week! After all, how can you give up a perfectly cooked roast chicken? Succulent and tasty white meat to accompany with the classic side dish of baked potatoes!
But the most awaited data that emerged from the Doxa survey is precisely this: we can say with certainty whether Italians appreciate the chest or the thigh more! And… The thigh wins with 56% of the votes compared to 35% of the votes for the chest!

On its own it is delicious, and we all agree on this … But accompanied by a side of crunchy vegetables even better! The most classic side dish is baked potatoes, very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, flavored with oil, salt, rosemary or sage are perfect!
