Where to eat

San Martino Pesceria in Ciriè

The Pescheria is super stocked and, for those who do not want to cook, it prepares excellent takeaway dishes in the Sea Gastronomy. It opens to the public its original Bistrot, all dedicated to fish, crustaceans and molluscs: in short, to all the good things the sea gives us.
The restaurant is small: booking is therefore recommended, especially at the weekend.
If you want a quiet table, ask for what is in the first room, next to the fish counter. Excellent the raw fish, the first courses, tasty and the great mixed fry, a very abundant portion, enough for two people.

Hostaria del Vecchio Macello

The Piedmontese and Canavese traditions in the kitchen are at home here. The menu is rich, the dishes made with mainly local products. Try the Tajarin with a tasty ragù with Turgia salami, or a timeless dish of Agnolotti with roast sauce. If you love the true Piedmontese tradition and offal don't miss a taste of Finanziera. It is possible to organize a rich breakfast in the Caffè Latteria, with desserts, fresh pastries and artisan wood-roasted coffee.
Turgia salami is a typical product of the Valli di Lanzo and Canavese. Of humble origins, it is produced with meat from cows no longer productive (the Turgies) with the addition of lard, garlic, various spices and, in some cases, with the addition of red wine. It can be eaten both raw and cooked. For some years Ciriè has also held the Sagra del Salame di Turgia (between the end of June and the beginning of July).
