Goodbye pumpkin, this Halloween will be the pineapple to scare you – Italian Cuisine

October 31, 2020 will be more exotic than usual – here's the idea for an original Halloween lantern

The scariest party of the year is approaching, but this year there is a nice news. F.lli Orsero thought of giving a tropical flavor to Halloween 2020, replacing the pumpkin with pineapple to create an unusual lantern. Such as?

How to carve a pineapple for Halloween

Here are the steps to turn a pineapple Extra Dolce F.lli Orsero in a Halloween lantern.

1. Remove the pineapple crown and keep it aside
2. Using a pineapple cutter or a digger, extract the pulp of the fruit, keeping the peel intact
3. Carve eyes, nose and mouth in the peel; the expression must be frightening!
4. Insert the candle inside the lantern and reposition the pineapple tuft.
5. Your scary pineapple is ready!

Obviously, the pulp is not wasted! It can be the basis for one of our recipes, such as centrifuged, jam, sorbet or tasty pancakes.

The F.lli Orsero pineapple

All the F.lli Orsero pineapples are born in the sunny plantations of Costa Rica, where the climate allows the growth of extra sweet fruits, so called because of the sweet and juicy pulp, with an unmistakable scent.
