More and more Italians pasta lovers: 9 out of 10 eat it regularly and there are those – 36% of our compatriots – bring it to the table every day. A "hunger" that is also satisfied by experimenting with innovative types of pasta, such as those with flour legumes, of spelled or kamut. The research results say it "The future of pasta", Commissioned by Unione Italiana Food (formerly AIDEPI) at Eumetra, which also confirm that pasta remains a symbol of Made in Italy and is always positively associated with the healthy Mediterranean diet, so that consumption in the world has doubled in the last decade.

A day of celebration
Many reasons to celebrate World Pasta Day 2019 that will be celebrated on Friday 25th October and that this year for its twenty-first edition, will focus on taste, creativity, pay attention to Welfare and passion for good food that characterize the all-Italian way of eating and sharing pasta.

Pasta food of the future
Already much loved all over the world today, pasta will expand its audience of admirers over the next few decades precisely because, as highlighted by the research, it will be able to intercept the trends and respond to different needs in terms of food. The experts interviewed by Unione Italiana Food on the occasion of the 2019 Pasta Day outlined 6 trends that will characterize consumption in the 2050:
– I Eat Classic – represented by pasta with tomato, a food of conviviality and standard bearer of the Mediterranean diet in the world
– I Eat Ethical – pasta as a sustainable food that will increasingly be combined with vegetables in sustainable and anti-waste recipes
– I Eat Global – pasta meets the world, contaminating itself to adapt to different cultures
– I Eat Different – the future is also innovation and pasta will explore new ingredients and preparation methods
– I Eat Simple – pasta will respond to the search for more essential and healthy foods
– I Eat Conscious – clear, correct and complete information, thus only answering consumers' questions pasta will be able to maintain its central role in feeding the planet

# pasta2050: chef, blogger and lover pasta collection
Looking ahead will be at the center of the main events of World Pasta Day, first of all To the Tooth, event that for a week until October 25 involves 130 restaurants in Italy and in the world that will offer a pasta dish inspired by the # pasta2050 theme on the menu. Well-known chefs and young chefs have already joined, but the invitation to interpret pasta is also open to bloggers and enthusiasts.
