Plumcake with surprise, the easy recipe – Italian Cuisine


We asked the award-winning pastry chef Franco Aliberti to share his easiest recipe: here is a delicious chocolate and pear plumcake for you

With a fragrant and delicate scent, high and soft in appearance, the plum cake it is the dessert suitable for all hours and perfect all year round. Its basic recipe lends itself to different delicious variations according to the seasons and tastes. Of British origin (literally "plum cake"), the plum cake is the easily recognizable leavened cake due to its parallelepiped shape given by the use of classic box molds. Sweet morning cuddle to accompany breakfast, served already sliced ​​for afternoon tea, elegant dessert at the end of the meal completed with a cream or sauce, the plumcake conquers the taste and sight of young and old.

Plumcake with surprise

Ingrediants:
2 eggs
3 pears Conference
105 gr flour 00
90 gr sugar
75 gr yogurt
45 gr oil
15 gr cocoa
7 gr baking powder
25 gr milk

Method:

Wash the pears, place them in a pot and cover with cold water.

Cook for 15 minutes, drain and let cool.

Mix the eggs with the sugar using a whisk (they do not need to be whipped).

Add the oil, milk and yogurt.

Mix well, then add the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder sifted together.

Stir until you get a homogeneous mixture.

Pour the mixture into a 20 cm long loaf pan.

Place the cooked pears in the center after having deprived them of the rounded part.

Bake at 180 degrees for 35 minutes.

Let it cool before unmolding.
