The fettuccine alfredo they are an internationally renowned dish. At least in all English-speaking countries. In the United States it was and still is one of the most requested dishes by Hollywood actors. However, one thing must be clarified: Fettuccine Alfredo nothing more than fettuccine with butter and parmesaneven if the preparation technique is different.
To be specified the original fettuccine were prepared in Rome around the early 1900s in a restaurant called the Alfredo restaurant. The chef simply melted plenty of parmesan in the butter and stirred in the pasta.
In America the variant includes cream and the addition of chopped parsleyin the basic recipe.
