Italy boasts some of the most romantic cities in the world such as Venice, Florence, Rome… And it goes without saying that it is these cities that boast the largest number of romantic restaurants in our country (and in the world). A research by Hayes & Jarvis, specialized in tailor made travel, has analyzed this, analyzing restaurants classified as "romantic" on Tripadvisor in the 50 most visited cities in the world.
The top ten of the cities with the most romantic restaurants
In the world ranking in first place we find Venice with one romantic restaurant out of 5 (21%) followed by Florence (18.1%), second classified. In third place we find Athens (13.5% of romantic restaurants), they follow Cancun in Mexico (13%) e Amsterdam (12.8%). In the second part of the top ten they appear New York (12.5%), Dublin (12.4%), Phuket (11.7%) and Pattaya (9.9%) in Thailand and finally Rome with 9.7% of romantic restaurants.
What is romantic for you
The ranking shows that the connection between the romantic city and the romantic restaurant is not so obvious: in the top ten, for example, the great absence of Paris, the city of love par excellence. And how do you imagine a romantic restaurant? Grand Canal, Ponte Vecchio or Colosseum view, or on the sand, pieds dans l'eau? Or is it enough to be in the company of your half, no matter where, for the atmosphere to be the right one? But above all, where you will celebrate Valentine's day?
