If at the market you let yourself get carried away and you no longer know where to put these splendid fruits of nature, but the pantry cries misery, you can try your hand at preparing a soft and fragrant orange cake without eggs. The ingredients are few but the result is guaranteed: what will come out of the oven will be a perfect dessert to start the day in a light but tasty way, or ideal to take as a snack in the office or as a snack at school for children.

The ingredients for the orange cake without eggs

If it is true that not all donuts succeed with the hole, it is equally true that to make a good cake you can also do without eggs. The most skeptical will turn up their noses in front of the option just proposed, but this ingredient may very well be replaced by orange juice which makes the dough slightly moist but still compact. To prepare the orange pie without eggs, you need 250 g of flour, 250 g of sugar, 200 ml of milk, 250 ml of Orange juice previously filtered, a sachet of baking powder, 50 g of oil with a neutral flavor, therefore of seeds or olive as long as delicate, a pinch of salt and, finally, the grated zest of an orange.

Quick and easy to prepare

In a bowl mix the sifted flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. In another, instead, combine the milk, orange juice and oil. Once the two compounds are homogeneous, join the liquid to the solid one, adding the grated orange zest last. Stir until you get a fluid and lump-free dough to be poured in a 25 cm diameter pan, previously buttered. To make the dessert Crisp, before pouring the dough, you can sprinkle the bottom of the pan with a thin layer of brown sugar. Leave in the oven at 180 ° for 40 minutes. Once baked, wait for it to cool and garnish with a sprinkling of icing sugar before biting into a slice.
