Ingredients
- 4 golden apples
- 160 g dark chocolate
- 40 g walnut kernels
- 40 g pine nuts
- 40 g raisins (to be soaked in rum)
- 30 g dry biscuits
- 30 g macaroons
- vanillin
- granulated and icing sugar
To prepare the stuffed apples, remove an apple cap and cut some of the pulp, which has to be minced and mixed with the crumbled dry biscuits and amaretti, the pine nuts and chopped walnuts, half a tablespoon of granulated sugar, half a sachet of vanilla and the raisins. Fill the apples with the mixture then steam them for 6′-8 ′ along with the lids. Prepare a sauce, with the chocolate melted together with as much water. Serve the apples with the lid on a layer of sauce and sprinkle with icing sugar.
