Rinse the strawberries under running water, remove the stalk and dry them.
Prepare the syrup by mixing water and sugar and heating it on the fire: after 15 minutes from the boil, you can turn off.
Put the strawberries, still whole, in 2 well sterilized 1/2 l jars, sprinkle with lemon juice, then cover completely with the syrup, still hot but not boiling.
Close the jar and let it cool completely.
Strawberries in syrup are ready: once they have cooled completely, let them rest in the fridge for at least 1 week before consuming them.
