With the Coronavirus emergency, the historic Milan craft fair moves to the Internet. From 28 November, on the dedicated platform, it will be possible to buy products but also order typical dishes

This is usually the period of the year in which the Christmas, but also in which the opening is expected a Milan of Artisan at the Fair, the trade fair that draws to the city producers and artisans from all over Italy and around the world and among whose stalls we can buy everything from home accessories to clothing up to specialty food and wine to give and give us. Due to Covid, the 2020 edition of the fair will move online thanks to the platform Craftsman In Live Fair active from November 28.

Artisans and visitors meet on the Net

The intent is, on the one hand, to give opportunities to Italian artisan companies to go out of their territorial borders and land on the first portal entirely dedicated to them, telling about themselves with photos, videos and exhibiting their products; on the other hand, to give the possibility, free of charge, to users who will have to renounce to physically participate in the fair, to know the artisan companies, virtually visit the laboratories and, if they want, buy their products. The artisans can be searched by territory, in alphabetical order or by product categories. Until 20 December Ge.Fi. Gestione Fiere Spa, which organized the event, will bear the shipping costs, free for the user who orders products on the platform for at least 39 euros per craftsman.

Artigiano in Fiera Live: dishes to order (and also a food delivery)

As in the traditional fair, there will be no lack of catering space. In the section Mi View Restaurant it will be possible to sort even at home (in Milan and hinterland) some of the most popular dishes of Artigiano in Fiera. Alongside these, a selection of cocktails, wines, and beers weekly menus created by Christian Spagnoli, who interpreted the most iconic and loved territorial recipes by the visitors of the event, also using the products and raw materials from the artisans themselves.
Departure on Saturday 28 November with the first of the four special menus that will be offered until 23 December 2020. It goes from "Like a Sicilian arancina", or puffed dumpling of potatoes and rice flour, stuffed with rice, mozzarella and peas, thin base and cream of peas to "L’orecchietta smoked", orecchiette with burnt wheat and turnip greens; from "Ciuppin of the Ligurian Riviera", pureed soup of fish and shellfish a "The sprint pig", Norcia wild pork fillet, Corallina salami cracker, gooseberry mustard sauce, to finish with "Sweet Salento", the pasticciotto of the Apulian tradition.
How to order? Reservations by mail or telephone (info@miview.it – ​​02.78.61.27.32), every day from Monday to Friday (from 19.00 to 21.00), Saturday (from 12.00 to 15.00 and from 19.00 to 21.00); Reservations are required by 6pm for dinner service, by 11am for lunch on Saturdays.
