Restaurants against the Hunger: the burrata that unites

"Our tables are made to share" is the motto of Miscusi, a chain with three locations in Milan specializing in pasta dishes. And in sharing, indeed. This is why Miscusi jumped at the opportunity to join the Restaurants against Fame campaign, the beautiful initiative by which going to eat at the restaurant can help a child who suffers from hunger.

"Sharing is at the base of our brand"- explain Filippo Mottolese and Alberto Cartasegna. In fact one of the strong points of the restaurant are the sharing table, inglesismo from insiders that does not mean anything but a table to share with other diners, hitherto unknown. The famous and too often forgotten Mediterranean conviviality.

"We have both sharing and normal tables: we like it a lot because what we like is telling … We started from the idea of a more sustainable, more genuine Mediterranean diet, which is based on 'eating makes you happy'. So we said to ourselves: 'Heck, we want ours guests are happy not only because they eat pasta, but because they can share'- continue – We wanted a pasta to share, as per the Mediterranean tradition: a single table, lots of laughter and good wine. The recipe for happiness is made of simple ingredients ". And then under the motto n.2: "The pasta unites and makes you happy" is added a "Welcome, make as if you were at home": the premises are furnished because theatmosphere know of Grandma's house, a family table, where pasta is eaten together.

The solidarity plate chosen by Miscusi – the one that you order donates two euros to the projects of Action Against Hunger – it's not a first one, though, but the burrata. Why this choice? "The burrata is a dish that always it was thought to be shared: unlike pasta dishes to be ordered as a single, burrata is a dish sharing to share with friends. We always suggest it. And Action against hunger speaks exactly about this: we thought about choose a dish that speaks the same language of Action against Hunger ". Customers have appreciated: since the campaign has started, sales of this dish have doubled!

Excuse me did a piece on the blog, in particular on Bangladesh, the country where the money collected last year thanks to the international campaign against hunger ended last year. On the blackboards in the rooms there is drawn the logo of the initiative (which goes on until December 31st).

The solidal burrata – that is served with grilled vegetables with basil cream – can be ordered for a casual lunch (you order at the counter, a pager is assigned that vibrates when the dish is ready and the customers go to take it directly to the kitchen) or for a dinner – or at the weekend – where table service is standard .

There is still time to discover a new place, eat a good thing and share with those who really need it. If you want to find out the restaurants against the Hunger closest to your home, click here (they are hundreds in all of Italy). So your appetite will be even better!
