Ingredients
- 8 pcs slices of panettone
- 100 g milk
- 2 pcs eggs
- butter
- powdered sugar
For the lost panettone recipe, beat the eggs with the milk. Quickly pass the slices of panettone, wetting them on both sides. Drain them and cook them in a pan in a frothy knob of butter for 2 minutes on each side. Serve them sprinkled with powdered sugar and accompanied with fresh fruit to taste.
Good to know: If the panettone has become dry, leave it immersed in the egg mixture not too briefly, draining it as it will be softened. This recipe is inspired by the French pain perdu, a "rescue" preparation of dry bread.
