Culture and tradition meet in Nunziatella, an unpublished work container for storing and serving buffalo mozzarella. An object that was missing in Italian homes and that stems from the need to tell the beauty and the good of Italy, promoting the history of a millennial product, exported all over the world, through a contemporary interpretation.

Functionality and innovative design

The container is designed to accommodate one mozzarella cheese of the classical measure from 500 grams, or pieces of lower weight, with the respective governing liquid. In fact, to guarantee a correct preservation, the liquid is equal to the volume of the mozzarella. Nunziatella is not a simple container, but much more, the sought-after design is valued on a practical level with a steel ladle to collect, drain and serve the mozzarella. The handle of the ladle is shaped like an "S" in order to be comfortably placed on the edge of the container.

Inspiration

What do you remember these forms? At first glance they might seem like gods buffalo horns, then looking carefully, she appears drop, because when the buffalo "hunt u milk" is magic. She was inspired by these two images Emma Silvestris, designer from Campania that wanted to convey in its creation the love for its land and for the excellent products that honor it all over the world.

"Declined in various ways – says the author – the drop evokes the horns of the buffalo myths with sweet eyes, and then again the whiteness of the drops of milk from which the mozzarella originates, of the buttermilk that flows copiously at the taste, of the liquid governing that guarantees its fragrance and finally recalls the soft forms of mozzarella. "

A great tribute to the queen of mozzarella, the Mozzarella di Bufala Campana, the only mozzarella on the market to have obtained the European recognition of the DOP. The collaboration of the Consorzio di Tutela con Alessi will bring the Italian spirit to the tables all over the world starting from 2020, when it will be officially available in the Alessi catalog.
