The "Florentine steak", as they prepare it at the Trattoria Dall’Oste in Florence
Ingredients
- 1 Kg 1 chianina steak
- peaty whiskey
- burnt cinnamon
- Sicilian orange peel
- salt flakes
To prepare grilled marinated chianina steak, season the steak with whiskey, cinnamon and orange zest and let it flavor for 24 hours in a cool place.
bake then on the hot grill for about 5 minutes per side, 1-2 minutes closer to the bone.
serve immediately complementing it with salt flakes.
