Asparagus: never tried fried? Recipe

If you like them just simply boiled, let alone fried! Here are our tips for preparing and tasting them (even with a fake mayonnaise!)

We are officially in the season of asparagus and this means that we are also looking for many ways to cook them. If many people like asparagus, even just boiled or sautéed in a pan, asparagus is also perfect to accompany many dishes. They can be used to season one quick pasta, to enrich a sauce, to create some delicious appetizers with puff pastry.

But if it is true that "fried everything is better" why not try it with asparagus?

Fried asparagus, the recipe

Today we offer you the fried asparagus, an even more delicious way to taste them. Here's how to prepare them.

Ingredients

To prepare the fried asparagus you will need: 500 large asparagus, 1 egg, 00 flour, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, seed oil for frying or extra virgin olive oil (for those who love lighter frying).

Method

To prepare the fried asparagus, you start by cleaning the vegetables and removing the external filamentous part. If you have doubts about which asparagus to choose to prepare your dish, you can follow our advice.

Once cleaned, they must be cooked in abundant hot and salted water and after having tied them with del kitchen wire to make them stand up during cooking. Alternatively you can use one asparagera, the narrow and long pot ideal for cooking asparagus. 3/4 minutes are enough. Strain and let them cool.

Spend the asparagus first in the flour, then in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs, enriched (for those who want) with a few spoonfuls of grated Parmesan cheese.

In a quite large pan put the oil for frying (completely covering the bottom) and heat it well.

Cook the asparagus turning them from time to time until they are completely golden on the surface. Drain them from the pan and put them to dry on a plate with some blotting paper. Let them cool for at least 5 minutes (even if the desire to eat them immediately is a lot) and then bring them to the table.
