4 pink restaurants in Europe. To try and photograph!

The millenium pink has conquered everything and everyone. From fashion to design, up to architecture. For a lunch or dinner in pink, here are 5 pretty in pink restaurants in Europe. Because "Pink isn't just a color, it's an attitude"

Rose, pink everywhere, even in the restaurants. What seemed to be just a passing fad is now a more established trend than ever: the millenial pink seems to leave us no more, indeed. Perfect furnishings, location, table linen and crockery pendant for a result that still manages not to be cloying, but inviting thanks to the renewed fame that pink has built up starting from the social network par excellence: Instagram. Dall'hashtag #ihavethisthingwithpink to accounts all-pink, we must thank the Pantone Color Institute for giving it a name in 2016: Rose Quartz. Let's not forget the magic of the cinema of The Grand Budapest Hotel of Wes Anderson and the boxes to match Courtesan au Chocolat of the Mendl's, which already in 2014 opened the way to pink and all its nuances: from bubble gum to fuchsia, up to face powder. The digital age has speeded up the mania, which has conquered fashion, packaging, architecture and design. Now we can also go into restaurants pretty in pink and below we report four really special ones in Europe.

Okja – Milan

Rose, street food and Korean food, all in one place. A few steps from the Darsena and the Navigli, the surprise of finding a total pink look: from the walls to the seats, from the dishes to the menus, in whispered shades. Not at all girlish, rather minimalist, Okja is the perfect destination for those who want to taste authentic recipes from the Korean street culinary tradition (and take perfect photos for Instagram). From the Korean Fried Chicken, fried chicken with vegetables and spices, until kimbab, the Korean variant of sushi roll with vegetables, tuna and rice wrapped in a sheet of kim (dried seaweed), the desire of the East here is satisfied with taste. Leave room for delicious mini rice cake from the pastel nuances … Like a rain!

Sketch – London

Opened in 2002 by the restaurateur Mourad Mazouz and by the star chef Pierre Gagnaire, the Sketch goes back to the look in 2014 and puts the room #pinkroom The Gallery at Sketch in the ingenious hands (and minds) of the archidesigner India Mahdavi and the artist David Shrigley. Like the movie by Wes Anderson released the same year, this place is the original, copied all over the world, which has definitively launched pink in restaurants. The choice of the protagonist color was explained by Mahdavi as follows: "Today we spend most of our time on cold digital interfaces. We are probably looking for some sort of visual comfort . From childhood in Massachusetts in the mid-sixties, between strawberry milkshakes and pastels typical of the time, the influence is felt (and can be seen) throughout. Defined the most instagrammato restaurant in London, sitting here on soft velvet armchairs you can have lunch or dinner with multi-ethnic dishes made under the guidance of the executive chef Frédéric Don. Appetizers go by Broccoli Tijuana Tops & Mexican Avocado to Frog legs in Provencal style to bring to the main course of fish as the Lobster Fricassée with Ginger, Sweet Potato Puree with Passion Fruit and Soy or meat like le Lamb Chops Grilled with Oregano, Polenta Peppers Piquillo and Radicchio Trevisano. Desserts are prepared by Christophe Gasper, head pastry chef, with original recipes like the Sketch Chocolate 043 (crunchy coconut cream with 70% dark chocolate mousse and blackcurrant). Don't miss the stop in the toilet for the obligatory selfie.

MaMa Kelly Restaurant – Amsterdam

Strong of the poster Pink isn’t just a color, it’s an attitude, the MaMa Kelly Restaurant has captivated the public thanks to a perfect mix of special cuisine (mainly chicken or lobster in various versions) and seductive design. Light wood boiserie, gold and pink details everywhere, a thousand square meters for 230 seats that attract despite the not so convenient location; it is in fact about twenty minutes by taxi from the center of Amsterdam, in the southern area, near the Olympic Stadium. The iconic sports venue was designed for the 1928 Olympics by the architect Jan Wils, then renovated in 2000, has become one of the symbolic places of the city, outside the tourist circuits. The restaurant-bar opened in 2017, quickly taking its place in the list of the place-to-be of fooders in love with taste and aesthetics, who find themselves in perfect balance here.

Cristal Room – Paris

In the sumptuous rooms of the first floor of the Maison Baccarat in the XVI arrondissement, is the elegant restaurant CrIstal Room. After visiting the museum dedicated to precious glassware, we move from the main hall, with strong and cheerful colors, to the charming Vicomtesse du Bizarre ballroom, to then find a hidden treasure. In this exceptional setting there is a totally pink room Salon Rose, with walls in rough brick, repainting, luxury tablecloths and crockery, stylish furniture, all in rosé nuance. Here the atmosphere is intimate, reserved privilege for about ten seats. Reinvented in 2003 by Philippe Starck and revised in 2017 by the famous interior designer Jacques Grange, the Cristal Room promises and maintains an occasion of delight and old-fashioned taste with an aftertaste of modernity through a menu based on traditional French cuisine interpreted by the young chef Mathieu Mécheri. Worthy of note dishes like the Duck Foie Gras with Mango, the Veal in Amaretto crust with Peas with Mint Mousse or the Soufflé à la Mirabelle. The design detail is not to be overlooked: everywhere chandeliers, glasses, vases of excellent manufacture.
