4 Luppoli Lager was born with an Italian hop


Of American origin, but entirely grown in Italy, Cascade has been included as the dominant hop in this beer to give it very floral hints

Is called Cascade, it is American, but entirely cultivated in Italy. It is the predominant hop present in 4 Lager Hops, the new beer born in the Poretti house.
It is a real novelty in the made in Italy brewing scene, and wants to represent the Italian "reflowering" after the experience of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Valganna brewery has in fact decided to start again with an even more local product to bring a message of optimism and trust. The project was born thanks to the collaboration with a Modenese start up, the Italian Hops Company, engaged since 2014 in the production and marketing of hops. "We chose it because it pioneered the change that is taking place in the Italian beer sector today," say Angelo Poretti Brewery, "creating a quality hop industry, sustainable and transparent, in which the information flows between brewers and farmers are close and continuous .

The Cascade was born in a volcanic area in America. The one grown in Italy has different characteristics from the citrus and slightly spicy ones which are typical of the hop grown in the USA. As for wines, the concept of terroir: a variety grown in Italy develops a different aroma than the same grown overseas.

In the glass, the 4 Luppoli Lager enhances the fragrant and balanced bouquet of the four hop varieties with which it is made. Its foam has one delicate sparkling medium-bodied. In the mouth it develops floral notes and a moderate bitter sensation. It is perfect if served with medium-aged cheeses or with parmesan. Also good with Mediterranean cuisine rich in vegetables, too spicy as can the Moroccan and Senegalese ones. It goes very well with pasta dishes with meat or vegetable sauces or, again, with fish dishes such as soups, baked sea bream or sea bass with crazy water. It is served in tall, round glasses and never frozen, so as not to vanish all its aromatic equipment.
